Students need small motors
Lawnmower motors and other small engines are needed at the trades school in Arorangi.
The trades campus of the Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute (CITTI) is calling for donations of small engines that people may have lying around, said Head of School Alister Anderson.
“They don’t have to be working – we just want to be able to practise pulling them to bits and putting them together again.”
Tutor Ina George said the school has a few small motors but there is not enough for all the students.
“With the numbers we have, we need more of them to work with.”
Those who have a small motor that they no longer want can either drop it off at the Arorangi campus, or phone the school on 21471 to have it picked up. Only motors that do not need to be returned should be offered.
