Want to fix furniture?
Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute has a couple of courses coming up that will be of interest to do-it-yourselfers and would-be linguists.
‘Fix My Furniture’ from April 2-23 is going to be taught by Angaroa Wiliams.
He is a long time builder who has taught our building course at Trades School since he left government during the transition period 1995 when government laid off public servants. He has been teaching all CITTI building courses since early 2000.
Learners can bring broken furniture to class so that Angaroa can teach them to fix it.
Didi the administration officer can be contacted on telephone 21471 so that she can get Angaroa to speak with you.
Meanwhile, “Kai Korero” with Makiuti Tongia from May 2-15 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is for people who want to improve their conversational Maori in terms of depth, meaning and oratory.
Classes are going to be at Nukutere College.
Makiuti has in depth knowledge on anything to do with Cook Islands language and culture.
